Currywurst goes Fashion

During a stay in the capital, a traditional Berlin currywurst is a must. In recent years, the currywurst has become more and more fashionable and is served even in high-class places as a mid-night snack.

A Memorable Misunderstanding

In Berlin you can have a pastry (similar to a jelly filled doughnut) called “Krapfen”. In the north of Germany the same kind of pastry is known as a “Berliner”. This little confusion led to an unintended play on words when in 1963 John F. Kennedy stated “Ich bin ein Berliner”.
